To reach the objectives of the CARE project, five interlinked work packages (WPs) have been planned. Within each WP specific tasks are described.
WP1 - Harvesting and collecting relevant legal information and documentation from EU Member States
Tasks:
- identification of country correspondents (public Institutions or Research centers as well as Academic staff or experts in Public Law and EU Law) to guarantee one country correspondent for each member State;
- analysis and study of the national legal framework of the member States concerning the diplomatic and consular protection. This is carried out by each country correspondent, with the production of a national report;
- collection of national legal documentation (in electronic format) and building up of a database prototype;
- preparation of the interim Report "Diplomatic and Consular protection in EU Member States - First findings";
- implementation of the database prototype with the relevant legal documentation collected by each partner.
WP2 - Translation of relevant legal documentation from EU Member States
Tasks:
- translation of the legal documentation and quality assessment. The activity concerns translation from all EU official languages into English and French.
WP3 - Analysing and organising legal documentation and discussing National Legal Frameworks
Tasks:
- discussions on the basis of the interim report through seminars and workshops. Proceedings of these initiatives will be published;
- preparation of the final report "Diplomatic and consular protection: legal Framework in EU Member States";
- CARE Database fine-tuning;
- Web site implementation.
WP4 - Project management
Tasks:
- Project coordination and maintenance of regular relationships with the EC Commission and among the partners.
WP5 - Dissemination
Tasks:
- presentation of scientific papers in national and international conferences as well as publications of articles in journals or books.
